Check if it is a fungal nail infection

Fungal nail infections usually affect your toenails, but you can get them on your fingernails, too.

Fungal nail infections usually start at the edge of the nail.

They often then spread to the middle. The nail becomes discoloured and lifts off.

The nail becomes brittle and pieces can break off. It can cause pain and swelling in the skin around the nail.

How does Laser Fungal Nail Treatment Work?

The PICO Laser fires shots of Laser Energy into the nail, nail bed and surrounding tissue causing intense heat to kill the spores of fungus that breads and causes the spread of fungal infections. The treatment is commonly described as comfortable and painless although some warmth can be felt as the treatment commences. The treatment lasts approximately 15 minutes per hand or foot

How effective is Laser Fungal Nail Treatment?

Most clients with a mild infection require just one treatment to be fully cured however we would recommend a 3 month review in which your therapist can assess the nail and retreat if there are remaining spores in order to prevent reinfecting the new healthy nail.
clients with a moderate or severe infection can expect the need for repeat treatment.
Following the strict but simple aftercare will greatly aid your road to perfect pedicure toes!

Results do vary and we, or any other clinic, can not guarantee 100% infection free status however studies have proven that 3 months after Laser Treatment 95% of clients were infection free. The study used the same equipment used at Body TLC.
