Injection lipolysis, also known as intralipotherapy, is a minimally invasive medical procedure for targeted fat reduction. Commonly referred to as fat dissolving injections, intralipotherapy is a form of mesotherapy and one of the nonsurgical fat reduction options

Fat Dissolving Injections are a safe, effective treatment that reduces fat cells in the treated area. It produces long lasting results, which means you can banish those annoyingly wobbly bits.

These injections can be used to treat small, exercise resistant, pockets of fat around the chin, chest, abdomen, thighs, knees and ankles. It is very effective for body contouring, but is not a treatment for weight loss.

Made up from a number of different plant based compounds that have been refined in a lab environment. Aqualyx dissolves the membranes of fat cells in the treated area. The fat cells become unstable and break open. The fatty acids contained within the cell are then eliminated by macrophages (part of the body’s immune system) and the liver.

Are Fat Dissolving Injections suitable for me?

If you are maintaining a healthy lifestyle and are close to your ideal body weight, but have isolated stubborn areas of fat then injectable dissolving might be suitable.

Popular areas that we treat are double chins, moobs, saddle bags, inner thighs, 'cankles' and abdomen - including defining a six pack.

If you have significant weight then fat dissolving is not suitable for you, but other body contouring treatments we offer maybe. If you have recently lost significant weight then the area concerning you may be loose skin which we can improve with skin tightening treatments.

A consultation with our highly trained therapist will determine the correct treatment plan for you.

Fat dissolving is not suitable if you:

  • Have diabetes.

  • Have liver or kidney disease.

  • Have active skin problem in the area to be treated.

  • Are taking blood thinning medicine e.g warfarin.

At Body TLC we are proud to offer TWO options for Fat Dissolving Injections

Option One:

Cincelar+ is a fat removing solution formulated with Deoxycholic acid for a

Option Two:

Aqualyx Fat Dissolving Injections - offering a cheaper alternative to Cincelar +

What is Deoxycholic acid?

Deoxycholic acid

Deoxycholic acid, a major component of Cincelar Plus, is an element present in the human body and is used in fat emulsification for absorption in the intestines, mainly produced in the liver. Deoxycholic acid has an excellent effect on fat removing.

Deoxycholic acid is a US FDA approved fat dissolving material and a naturally occurring human bile acid, which is a metabolic by-product of human intestinal bacteria. In the human body, deoxycholic acid is used in the emulsification of fats for absorption in the intestine.

Aqualyx does contain Deoycholic Acid - However, the only compositional difference between these is where Cincelar+ has a higher concentrate of deoxycholic acid, Aqualyx is a derivative

What does this mean to the consumer?

Well, we have no intention to blind you with scientific words that dont relate to the average consumer so in brief, both products will:

  • Help eliminate stubborn pockets of fat

  • Harmless to other tissue such as muscles and veins

  • Safe for the majority of clients (please see the short list above for those NOT suitable)

  • Both delivered in injectable form in a non surgical fashion

  • Both with the same volume of solution each vial (9ml)

  • Both create some hard deposits under the skin in the initial stages of treatment - indicating a good result and treatment of fatty tissue

  • Both are FDA approved

Here is where they differ:

  • Aqualyx has a longer recovery period vs Cincelar+

  • Swelling typically lasts upto 1 week with Aqualyx vs 1-2 days with Cincelar+

  • Results are seen slower with Aqualyx

  • Both may take up to 12 weeks but typically improvements are noticed around 1 week in for Cincelar+ vs 6-12 weeks for Aqualyx

  • Treatment is comfortable for both products - though it Aqualyx required the addition of Lidocaine to improve comfort - Cincelar+ does not, it is not painful as a pure product

  • Strength: Aqualyx is not as strong as Cincelar+ partly due to the dilution of adding lidocaine to Aqualyx and partly due to Cincelar+ being a newer product with better composition of ingredients

  • With Aqualyx you may have upto 6 vials in any one session or 7 day period vs 2 vials of Cincelar+. Due to the advanced clearing of cells in Cincelar+ demanding more use of the lymphatic system flushing away the broken down fat cells - less is more.

  • You need less repeat sessions with Cincelar+ vs Aqualyx. Appproximately 2-5 sessions vs 3-8 sessions *depending on degree of fat cells to destroy.

  • Aqualyx can be repeated in the same area after 8 weeks typically. Cincelar+ can be repeated after 4 weeks

  • Cincelar+ is more expensive than Aqualyx

So why do we offer both?

It may be obvious from the descriptors that Cincelar+ is the stronger product - but Aqualyx still has its place in the field - and it has its loyal fan base. We want to offer people flexibility and choice. To help we also offer 0% interest free instalment plans to help spread the cost where necessary for those that prefer this.

Q. How long does it take for fat dissolving injections to work?

A. The swelling will usually go down within 48 hours with Cincelar+ but can take up to a week for Aqualyx. Q. Do fat dissolving injections really work?

A. Fat dissolving injections can help you to achieve a slimmer, more contoured body shape, with long-lasting results of between two and four years.
