Massage Therapy at Body TLC
Why choose Body TLC for your Massage Therapy?
Massage is a very individual experience, with each person having different needs - we aim to accommodated them as many as possible. some of the issues that often come up for clients include tension area's, stress, recovery from injury, relaxation, muscle aches and pains and health.
With this in mind we have worked hard to train our therapists to give the best experience whatever your needs. Our therapists are trained in a wide range of massage techniques and pressures, in order to work with the different issues a client may bring. This allows us to tailor your massage individually - we can massage gently for relaxation or harder to offer a deep tissue massage.

We have also invested in a variety of different tools and equipment to ensure your experience is the best it can be! We have female form pillows which allow for ladies to rest comfortably on their front during treatment. The therapy beds have heated blankets and fluffy covers to ensure you are warm and relaxed throughout. The therapist can offer you weighted eye masks to aid in your deep relaxation. We also have a variety of wooden tools that your therapist can utilize to reach stubborn knot's and ease tension points.

We can offer a heated a Aqua Cushion, this is detailed in more depth below. Our Aqua Cushion means that we can work with people who can only lie on their backs and pregnant ladies. However this is also lovely to increase deep relaxation.

For those with injuries who would like more than a regular massage, we offer our GSD Ultrasound Cryo V Thermo Massage: also known as Hot & Cold massage, the machine uses ultrasound waves to cause vibration in the local tissues. This vibration causes a deep heating to the treatment area (although you wont feel this on the surface of the skin) which stimulates blood flow and subsequently aids in the repair of the muscle or joint that was causing pain.
For fresh injuries, the ultrasound is pulsed cold, this reduces inflammation and cause muscle relaxation, resulting in local blood flow and scar tissue breakdown. The result of local blood flow is a reduction in swelling and promotion of bone fracture healing.
With all these great options, along with a calming therapeutic ambiance, we are able to enhance your massage experience to be the best you've ever had!
Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage is the most common and best known type of massage in the West. It can be slow and gentle or vigorous and bracing depending on your concerns, just discuss the pressure you'd like with your therapist. The massage techniques used relax the whole body by directing their motions towards the heart.
Throughout a Swedish Massage you are generally nude (or in underwear) under a sheet, your therapist will use a technique called draping to ensure only the area they are working on is exposed during the treatment.

Hot Stones Massage

Hot Stones Massage uses smooth basalt that has been specially heated to relax and warm tight your muscles allowing your therapist to work more deeply and quickly. Hot Stone Massage has an array of benefits including: Improving Circulation, Aiding Digestion, Easing Symptoms of PMS, Relieving Chronic Aches, Improving Sleep Quality and Melting Muscle Tension.
